A costume rendering for Dogberry, the local magistrate in William Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing"

This was a theoretical design for a class, in this case, set in 1760s America, post-French and Indian War but pre-Revolutionary. Dogberry couldn't go to war but attempts to look like a respectable soldier. He is complete with out of date French jacket, rolled down hip boots, pulled up and tucked in pants and a burlap sash.

The croakies (body figures) were provided by Jack Smith.
